OSTROW, SEYMOUR Seymour Ostrow, 87, died peacefully in Carlsbad, California on December 18, 2012. He was born in Los Angeles, California on April 5, 1925 to Mollie and Abe Ostrow. His older brother and sister, Sid and Annette have preceded him in death. Seymour graduated Fairfax High School in the class of 1942 where he won all-city, all-state Championships as a side-horse gymnast. In 1943, Seymour entered the United States Army. After graduating USC Seymour established the accounting firm of Ostrow, Bowman, Bauch and Firestone. On August 1, 1948, Seymour married Paula Smill, this year they celebrated 65 wonderful years together. Seymour is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Pam, and his grandson, Matthew Ostrow Shuman. Services will held at Hillside Memorial, 6001 Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, at noon on Friday, December 21, 2012. Condolences may be made at the home of Paula Ostrow after 3:00 p.m. following services in Ocean Hills Country Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in memory of Seymour Ostrow.

Paula, though I had few occasions to spend time with your dear Seymour, they were special. I was happy to share my pug, Lily, with Seymour at Bressi ActivCare; Lily was awfully fond of him.
Bless you dear Paula .. What a terrible shock. In speaking with you last Monday, I was so praying you we're just experiencing a bump in the road.
