Beryl Joyce Farmer(1928 - 2013)

Farmer, Beryl Joyce SAN DIEGO -- Beryl was born July 5, 1928 in Montreal, Canada, the oldest child of Lillian Jean and Paul Henry Farmer. Beryl spent most of her childhood in Halifax, Nova Scotia and graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Dalhousie University. She taught piano at the Halifax Conservatory of Music. Beryl's marriage eventually took her to San Diego where she raised her four children. Teaching piano delighted her and she continued teaching into her late 70s. She passed peacefully with family on June 7, 2013. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ian Armstrong, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Paul Murray, Victoria, B.C. Canada; and her youngest son, Brian Keith Fisher, San Diego. Survivors include daughters, Lillian Jean "LJ" and Annette (Terry Henry); son, Frank Fisher; grandchildren, David and Rachel Fisher; sister, Marilyn Rixon, Ottawa, Canada; brother, Allan Farmer, Ajijic, Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. Her loving and independent ways will be missed. Memorial Service: July 5, 2013, at 11 am, 5426 Barclay Ave, San Diego, CA 92120. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Music Teachers Association of California (mtac.org).
