BEVERLY ANN MILBURN

MILBURN, BEVERLY ANN Beverly Ann Milburn (Brutschy, nee' Copeland) passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012 from complications from a recent injury. Ann was born in San Diego on February 4, 1931. She attended San Diego High School and San Diego State University where she received a B.A. in Education and later a Masters' Degree. She enjoyed her teaching career that spanned over 30 years, both in Oxnard and San Diego. Ann is survived by her eight children: Barbara Grunewald (Greg), Betsy Held, Glenna Milburn (Michael Caponigro), Lucy Schwarz (Edward), Steve Milburn (Renee), Marcy McTernan (Hugh), Linda Milburn (Mark Warren), and Mary Brutschy. Nine grandchildren - Laura, Emily, Alex, Camille, Daniel, David, Brett, Lauren, and Alexandra, also survive her. Ann was a woman of many interests. She enjoyed traveling, time spent with family, especially when at the ocean, camping with the Gypsies, reading, and painting. Mainly, Ann enjoyed people. Ann was still active in her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. She also volunteered, raising funds for the annual auction with the Salvation Army. We will greatly miss her quick wit, sense of humor, and zest for life. She was very loving and generous, giving of herself and her time. We are grateful for all her friends who enriched her life, as she truly appreciated all the people in her life. In short, she was a "good egg." In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Chula Vista chapter of The Salvation Army. A celebration of Ann's life is tentatively scheduled for springtime 2013. Cowabunga, Mom!
