Evans, Bob LA MESA -- Bob Evans beloved husband, father, and mentor passed away on September 7th. Bob was a pioneer in promoting the use of Behavior Modification in the San Diego City Schools. He used numerous avenues to promote the use of behavior modification. He was the Resource Specialist for Special Education (EH) Programs for the San Diego Unified School District. He started by using the principles in his own classroom and later taught teachers through courses at UCSD and demonstrations in teachers' classrooms. He worked with about 125 teachers in over a hundred schools. Bob was born October 18, 1928 and grew up in the Philadelphia area. He has degrees from the University of Kansas and Missouri and extensive work at S.D. State University and San Jose State in Behavior Modification earning certification as a teacher, counselor and psychometrist. He is survived by his wife Hazel, son Jay and daughter Catherine. He and his wife spent part of their retirement traveling to almost all of the states and about 25 countries. He was a great guy who loved his family very much. A celebration of life will be held on September 21, 2013, 11:30 a.m. at Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church, 455 Church Way, E1 Cajon, CA.
