Bruce Bernard Beyor(1945 - 2013)

Beyor, Bruce Bernard RANCHO SANTA FE-- Bruce Bernard Beyor, age 68, of Rancho Santa Fe, California, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Escondido, California. He was born on January 14, 1945 in Massachusetts to his parents, Tedd and Ilene and was the great- nephew of the late Simon Lake. Bruce was predeceased by his older brother Charles Beyor in 2009. He is survived by his loving wife, Hildegarde and the joy of his life, daughter Alexa. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and brothers and sisters-in-law. Bruce graduated in 1977 from Nathaniel Hawthorne College in Antrim, New Hampshire, and was a member of the Lambda-Rho Chapter of The Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Bruce served in the United States Armed Forces for four years and had earned the rank of Sergeant when he was honorably discharged in 1972. Bruce was larger than life and touched everyone he encountered. He was always there with a bit of advice, an open heart and an engaging story. Bruce loved anything with a motor - cars, motorcycles, sailboats - and he regularly attended car enthusiast events, including participating in the annual AMG Challenge and Driving Program. He was an avid sailor and steamed an impressive oversized lobster. Bruce was a talented luthier and enjoyed presenting his craft to friends and family as gifts. He will be warmly remembered by loved ones for his generosity, charm, and ability to always produce a hearty laugh.
