Christopher Joseph Davey

Davey, Christopher Joseph 03/19/1958 ~ 02/26/2013 EL CAJON -- Chris was born in Queens, NY and raised in Fairfield, CT by his parents Thomas and Isabel Davey. He settled in Southern California in 1983 where he met his wife, Mary Ann (Youngwirth). Chris graduated from Roger Ludlow High School Class of 1976, earned his BS in Geology from Eastern Connecticut State University and his MBA from San Diego State University, where he also learned Mandarin Chinese. Chris worked for GeoSystems in Texas and Environmental Business Journal. Chris also volunteered for the San Diego Zoo to map botanicals with GIS. Chris was known for his humor and quick which made for many fun times and memories. Chris enjoyed cooking for friends and family who greatly appreciated his skills. He was an avid tennis player, reader and traveler. He traveled to many destinations throughout the country as well as Europe, Australia, New Zealand and China. Chris was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. His loving wife Mary Ann, siblings Tom Davey, Caroline Stathakis, and Lisa Scully, brother-in-law Allan, nieces and nephews, friends and cat Sam miss him dearly. Graveside Services will be held at Singing Hills Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 21st, at 2:00 p.m.
