Roundy, Darrow Campbell 11/18/1929 ~ 12/06/2013 SAN DIEGO -- Darrow was born in Waterville, ME, to Guy and Mildred Roundy. He married Gilda (Fitch) Overman and had three sons, Glenn C. (deceased), Gregory, and Gary. They moved to San Diego in 1953. He worked for ITT Continental (Wonder Bread) for 18 years. In 1968, he married Elizabeth (Liz) De Florio and they bought a small lawn mower/motorcycle shop, Fun Bike Center. Fun Bike Center became one of the largest and most impressive dealerships in the country. Darrow had a dynamic personality and whoever met him remembered him. He was an icon in the industry and was driven and outspoken about the way he wanted his business run. No one can deny the success and results Fun Bike Center has achieved over the past 41-plus years in business. Darrow and Liz retired in 2007 and Gary Roundy has been running the dealership since then, along with Gary's daughter Kristin and son Dustin. Darrow died the morning of December 6 in his sleep after a long and debilitating illness. He lived a full life and is in God's hands now, but here on earth he will be sorely missed.
