DEAN STANDRIDGE

STANDRIDGE, DEAN "DEDE" Mrs. Dean Standridge, age 89, recently of El Cajon, CA, passed away December 26, 2012 in Payson, AZ. She was born to the late Edbert and Cleo (Timmons) Peairson on March 16, 1923. Dean was affectionately known to her family as Dede. Dean married Acy W. Standridge on January 3, 1941, a career Army man who served in World War II and the Korean War. They had two daughters, Darlene and Nina Carlene. Captain Standridge was deployed to Germany in late 1955 where he died February 28, 1956. She became partners with Paul Megne, a contractor with whom she started and ran two successful construction companies for fifteen years in San Diego. Dean was preceded in death by her mother Cleo, her infant daughter Nina Carlene, her brother Ulrich Peairson, her half-sister Claudia, her step-mother Anna Sonderegger, her father Edbert Peairson and her partner Paul Megne. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Younker (Dean), Payson, AZ; her granddaughters Elayne Neal (Doug), Duluth, GA and Laura Case, Payson, AZ; her great-granddaughter, Stacy Murphy (Andy), Mesa, AZ; and her great-great-grandson, Trevor Murphy of Mesa, AZ. Dean was vivacious and sassy and occasionally a little prickly but she loved her family and friends fiercely. She was truly the matriarch of her family and will be missed by all who knew her. It is comforting to know she rests in the arms of Jesus. Services will be at East County Mortuary in El Cajon, CA on Saturday, Jan. 19th, at 2:00 p.m.
