EDWIN ANTHONY BOURKE

BOURKE, EDWIN ANTHONY Edwin Anthony Bourke, 84, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2013. He was born on April 5, 1928 in White Plains, New York. He was a resident of Chula Vista for seven years, Yorba Linda, 28, and San Bernardino, 16 years. He was sales representative for corrugated products. He served in the United States Marines as a Korean War veteran earning the rank of 1st LT (1951-1955). He graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor in 1951. He volunteered for various Christian and Catholic services. He loved the ocean and Notre Dame. He also enjoyed golf, tennis, and ice hockey. His favorite trip was to Ireland. "When Irish Eyes are smiling." He is survived by his loving wife, Irene of 40 years; children, Kathleen, Mary Anne, Barbara, Susan, Janet, Joyce, Christine, Teresa, Sarah, Michael, Peter, and Luke; sister, Patricia Murphy; brother, William Bourke; 26 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. There will be service on February 19, 2013, at Most Precious Blood, Chula Vista at 10 a.m. following a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Miramar National Cemetery. www.arlingtonmortuary.com
