Edwin Ragnar "Ted" Erickson

Erickson, Edwin "Ted" Ragnar 1930 ~ 2013 ESCONDIDO -- Ted was born and grew up in West-Chester, NY. In 1954, four years after meeting Betty in Granston, RI, they were married. He served in the Air Force for four years as crew chief of a B-47, airplanes being his love since childhood. Ted worked in Air Research in LA for six years, came to Escondido with Betty in 1964 to work for Solar, and finally found his passion working in finish cabinetry. He was employed by Weir Brothers and later Veen Construction, and then spent his retirement years making frames for artists' work. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; his children, Debbie, David and Donald; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and remembered both for his craftsmanship and for his unique sense of humor. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 am., on Saturday, August 31, at the Escondido Salvation Army Corps Chapel, 1301 Las Villas Way, Escondido, CA.
