FRANCES BEATRICE STRAHAN

STRAHAN, FRANCES BEATRICE Aug. 8, 1926 to Feb. 9, 2013 Born Frances Casey in Phoenix, Arizona, she was a Depression era girl who moved to San Diego as a child. She graduated from San Diego High School and married a Marine returning from the Pacific Theater of WWII. During her 40 years of marriage, she was a working mom to five sons. She saw her husband off to two additional wars while steadfastly doing her duty at home. She survived her husband in their Bonita home for another 27 years. She witnessed the success of her sons, the subsequent success of her grandchildren and the birth of her great-granddaughter the week before her passing. She was happy and herself to the end; knowing she would soon be reunited with John. She was a longtime member of the Sweetwater Community Church in Bonita. She is survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, eight grand-daughters, one grandson, grandsons-in-law and a great-granddaughter. She lived an exemplary life of duty, service and love to God, her family and many friends. Graveside services will be held at the Glen Abbey Cemetery in Bonita, 12:30 p.m., Saturday, February 16th, followed by a 1:30 p.m. service and reception at the Church on 5305 Sweetwater Road in Bonita. She did so many things right throughout her life. We love her and miss her.
