Frederick George Cameron(1933 - 2013)

Cameron, Frederick George VISTA -- Frederick "Freddy" George Cameron, 80, died Thursday, May 31, 2013 in his home. He endured a long battle with Alzheimer Disease. Freddy was born to the late John and Helen Cameron, May 6, 1933 in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from Aberdeen High School 1950, in Aberdeen, Scotland. He married the late Delores Cameron, on June 13, 1959 and their marriage was blessed with four children. Freddy remarried in 1995 to Linda Cameron and shared 19 years in Vista, Calif. Freddy's trade as a highly skilled finished carpenter was second to none for quality and craftsmanship, until he retired in 2005. Foremost, he was highly renowned for his World Cup Soccer career that spanned four decades. We are proud to say he is listed in the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame Registry. Freddy is survived by his second wife, Linda Cameron; and his children: Heather (Galu) Cameron-Satele of El Paso, TX, Gregg (Tracey) Cameron of Vernon, B.C., Mark Cameron of Vista, and Bonnie (John) Wold of Gaylord, MN; six grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and his sisters, Elizabeth Robb and Eleanor Cameron. Freddy was preceded in death by his brothers, William Cameron, James Rettie, and John Cameron. A memorial ceremony and reception will be held at 11a.m., on Friday, June 21, 2013 at New Community Church of Vista, 165 Eucalyptus Ave, Vista 760-726-3880
