GEORGE W. KEMMER

KEMMER, GEORGE W. MSGT George W. Kemmer passed from this life on January 16, 2013 at his home peacefully with his son-in-law David Kirkman by his side. George was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1923. At the age of seventeen he joined the Marine Corps. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton and then Twenty Nine Palms where he retired at the young age of 47 in 1970. After retiring he spent 42 years volunteering at The Prince of Peace Abby in Oceanside, CA. He worked with Bro. Benno and latter with Bro. Blaze maintaining the Abbey, butchering cows and hogs and collecting donated food from local markets. George continued to volunteer at the Abby until December 2012. George is survived by his three daughters and son-in-law, eight grand children and many great grand children. He will be missed by all who know him. George will rest with his wife Elsie. Together again. Services were held at Eternal Hills Mortuary January 28,2013. At Ease Marine... you are relieved.
