LAUREL E. RAINWATER

RAINWATER, LAUREL E. April 11, 1933 to December 28, 2012 Laurel E. Rainwater was born April 11, 1933 and passed away December 28, 2012 at Scripps Memorial Hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife Paddy of 54 years, son Brett (Kristie), daughter Nikki, and two grandchildren. Laurel was born in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma at a time when crops were dying and the people were desperate to find a way to survive. With the Korean war in full force when he graduated High School he joined the Navy which ended up being the most influential part of his life. Upon his completion in the Navy he went on to graduate from San Diego State where he met his wife. After graduation he unwillingly went into the restaurant business, but it ended up becoming his life. He built restaurants with a philosophy of "always quality". This lead to many years of him being a successful entrepreneur. Laurel was loved by his wife, his children and the many dogs they adored over the years. There will be a visitation Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and a ceremony Friday at 11:00 a.m. at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego.
