iconPIDGEON, LAWRENCE S. "LARRY" February 12, 1963 to November 13, 2012 Born February 12, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, son of Harold and Shirley Pidgeon. Larry excelled in both golf and basketball and was an exceptional student. A graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1981, then matriculated to Yale University, where he received simultaneous undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics, graduating Summa Cum Laude and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Larry began his career with Goldman Sachs as a securities analyst then with Plaza Investment Managers, where he worked with Louis Simpson to manage the GEICO investment portfolio. In 1996, Larry started CBM Investments, an investment partnership. The performance of CBM Partners was extraordinary: from inception, his fund achieved a 345% cumulative net return as compared with a 29% return in the S&P 500. Larry is survived by his wife Sue and his children Daniel, Alexandra and Jack, his parents, Harold and Shirley, and brothers Brian and Mark. Services will be held Friday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Temple Solel in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA. A memorial celebration of Larry's life will be held in NYC at a later date.
