MARIANNE MCINTOSH

MCINTOSH, MARIANNE Aug. 11, 1938 to Dec. 24, 2012 Marianne McIntosh, 74, died on Dec. 24th following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born and raised in San Francisco, she graduated from the San Francisco College for Women in 1960. Marianne was a lifelong educator, teaching elementary school and piano lessons for more than three decades, after which she opened a boutique, Gift Closet. Marianne is survived by her devoted husband of more than 50 years, Gary. She is also survived by their three children, Marianne Armstrong, Kelly McAndrew and Gary McIntosh, their spouses, Dan Armstrong, Mike McAndrew and Jennifer McIntosh, and seven grand-daughters: Danielle Armstrong, Kaitlyn, Cassidy and Molly McAndrew, and Sabrina, Charlotte and Christina McIntosh. Marianne imbued in her children and grandchildren her love of the arts and her devotion to the Catholic Church. She filled their lives with love, encouragement and plenty of fashion tips. Nothing delighted Marianne more than to watch her granddaughters dance on a big stage or just in the family room. She loved to share her perfume with them and taught each one the importance of being a lady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus at http://www.stjude-shrine.org.
