Sandling, Martha F. OCEANSIDE -- Martha Frances Sandling, 76, passed away suddenly on August 18, 2013 with her daughter by her side. She now resides in eternal peace with our Lord. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 12, 1937, she moved with her family to Oceanside, California in 1961. She worked at Libby Elementary School and helped her husband run "Don's Country Kitchen" in Escondido. She was the bookkeeper at San Luis Rey Mission Parish for many years, until her retirement. Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Sandling; and her sons, Donald and Gregory Sandling. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Nolasco and son-in-law, Joe Nolasco of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Laura Sandling of Vista, Calif.; and the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Sara, Justin, Trevor, Lauren and Ashley. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and Nana. She will be greatly missed by her family. Her warm heart, passion for life, faith and strength was always evident. She welcomed all to her table with her excellent cooking, she enjoyed camping and being outdoors in her garden. We are left with beautiful memories. A funeral Mass and inurnment will be celebrated at 1 p.m. On Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Old Mission San Luis Rey, Oceanside, Calif. A reception to follow in the parish hall.
