MICHAEL MERRICK WRIGHT D.D.S.

WRIGHT D.D.S., MICHAEL MERRICK Michael Merrick Wright, D.D.S., 71, of San Diego, passed away peacefully in his home, September, 8, 2012. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Michael and his family moved to San Diego when he was five. He graduated from Mission Bay High School in 1958, SDSU in 1963 and received a D.D.S. from UCLA in 1973. He served as an Army Infantry Reservist of company B, 4th Battalion, 1st Brigade. In college, he joined Kappa Sigma Fraternity and completed a degree in physics, but later, he returned to school to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating with honors from dental school, he opened a respectable practice for 36 years in the heart of San Carlos. Michael is remembered for being as gentle in work as he was in life. He was a faithful member of Faith Chapel, Spring Valley and formerly First Assembly of God, Phyllis Place, San Diego for a combined 32 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Ann (Kisha) Wright and his daughter, Michelle (Frank) Wright, and two grandsons, Stephen and Adam of Evanston, IL; his son, Matthew, (Laura) and two grandsons, Diego, and Lucas, of Redmond, WA; and his twin brother, Patrick (Maureen) of Saratoga, CA, two nephews, Keith and Colin and a niece, Alicia. A memorial service will be Saturday, October 13, 2012, 11 a.m., Faith Chapel, 9400 Campo Road, Spring Valley, CA 91977. Gifts may he made to Faith Chapel for the Resource Center, a place Michael personally served.
