NORMAN WOLLITZ DR.

WOLLITZ DR., NORMAN Dr. Norman E. Wollitz, born on March 2, 1926 in Bowdon, ND passed away surrounded by his family and friends on February 7, 2013. After serving in Europe as a lieutenant, 1944 - 46, he was involved in education for 65 years. Schooled at the U. of MN and Columbia U., he moved his family to San Diego and worked for San Diego Unified School District as a teacher, principal, and administrator. In retirement, he volunteered at his sons' schools, and later at the Wesley Foundation for 25 years. He was a positive and supportive husband, father, grandfather mentor, friend, and was respected and admired by all who worked with him. His joy was a lifetime of service to the church. We will miss him greatly. His wife, Donna of 66 years, three sons, Howard, Craig, and Bruce, and their wives, Debra, Michele, and Melinda, seven grandchildren, two great-grand-children survive him. Memorial Service is Feb. 17th at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Mission Valley, 2111 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, 92108. Memorial gifts may be designated to the , or First United Methodist Church.
