Bunas, Paul David 1962 ~ 2013 SAN DIEGO-- Paul David Bunas died on July 15,2013, after a long illness following complications from spinal surgery. Paul was born on October 21, 1962, in San Diego, California. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps
from 1982 to 1986 with White House Helicopter Squadron HMX-1, during the Reagan-Bush Administration. He obtained his college degree, and MBA from AIU, Six-Sigma Black Belt from UCSD, and his Professional Publishing Certification from Stanford University. He quickly became Manager of Information Systems, and the Director of Information Technology in a number of companies. He was the beloved husband of Inga Heisig Bunas, father to Paul and Andrew by his previous marriage to Rebecca Oppen Bunas and stepson Nassim. He is also survived by his father, Paul Anthony and Stepmother Darlene, sisters, Veronica, Joan and Jennifer, and brothers Ken, Ted, Patrick, Chris and James. His mother, Sharon, predeceased him in 2010. A Memorial Service will take place at the Bayview Chapel at 2859 Adams Avenue, San Diego at 12:00 noon with a Memorial Service to take place immediately thereafter at approximately 2:00 p.m. at Miramar National Cemetery with military honors. All are welcome. Donations can be made in Paul's name to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Historical Foundation.
