Moore, Priscilla "Pat" CHULA VISTA -- It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Priscilla "Pat" Moore, 90, on August 31, 2013. She was born on May 29, 1923 in Fort Kent, Maine, the eight child of Damasse and Isabelle Charette. Priscilla completed her education in Fort Kent, Maine and started work in a factory, packing sardines for US troops stationed abroad. To further support the US war effort, she worked as a welder in an armament factory. Priscilla was united in marriage to Claude R. Moore. Claude served in the US Navy for 32 years. The Moore family traveled extensively across the United States. During Claude's military assignments, Priscilla furthered her education. She earned an AA, Language Arts, and a CA real estate license. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary FRA of Chula Vista and a Life member of the VFW
Auxiliary. She also enjoyed spending time with Red Hat Society friends and playing bingo. Her hobbies included bowling, sewing, swing dancing and international travel Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, Damasse and Isabeel Charette; twelve of her eighteen siblings; her husband, Claude Moore; her son, John J. Moore; and a long time companion, Edward D. Selich. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Sinclair of Olympia, WA; Stacy E. Brown of the Woodlands, TX; Jeremy Snider of Olympia, WA; Kerri A. Kubricky of Milwaukee. WI; Heather Sinclair of Olympia, WA; Justin C. Moore of Los Angeles, CA; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Priscilla's stunning beauty, passion for life and love of family will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary in San Diego. A memorial celebration of Priscilla's life will be held at a future date.
