Robert A. Schultz

Robert A. Schultz 09/27/1921 ~ 09/15/2012 VISTA -- Bob Schultz was born in Scribner, Nebraska on September 27, 1921. He graduated from high school in Fremont, Nebraska and married Lorene Carlson, and they raised four children: three sons and one daughter. He served in the combat engineers in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, Bob got his contractor's license and built several homes and apartment buildings in San Diego area. Bob was a lover of all sports, but mainly football and baseball. He was a member of the Elks club for 51 years and the American Legion for 40 years. He loved to hunt and camp with his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lorene Schultz; and his sons, Robert Schultz of Simi Valley, Calif., Gary Schultz of Oceanside, Calif., and Ted Schultz of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a daughter, Judy Lockwood, of San Marcos, Calif. There are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., on Friday, November 16th, at the Optimist Club, 600 Optimist Way, Vista, (off of Lupine Hills Dr.) Donations may be made to Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, 16745 W.
