SHIRLEY B. RAVET

RAVET, SHIRLEY B. Shirley B Ravet, died peacefully on November 24, 2012. Shirley was born in Pittsburgh, PA, January 11, 1930 and was married to Emanuel (Manny) Ravet; mother of Deborah Hill, Gary Ravet, Lorey Baldwin and Patty Raphaelson, Grandmother to Laurel Hill, Brandon and Stephen Ravet, Jillian Baldwin and Bryan Raphaelson. Shirley and Manny married in Detroit, MI, January 15, 1950 and were happily married for over 60 years. Together they raised their family in Oak Park and Franklin Village, MI, for 30 years prior to moving to La Jolla, CA. She was an artist, world traveler and gourmet cook with a verve for life and a fine sense of humor. She was a tremendous philanthropist and worked to support many charitable organizations in Michigan, California and throughout the world. She rarely said "no" when asked to chair an event or sit on the board of a worthy organization. Shirley was politically active and immensely supportive of her community. She was always so giving with her time and her love. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be sorely missed. This brings an end to an important and wonderful life filled with great love, style and class.
