GOODMAN, STEPHEN ALVIN Oct. 24, 1945 to Feb. 9, 2013 Born to Henry and Miriam Goodman in the District of Columbia, Washington. Survived by his wife Colleen McKeown Goodman and his five children David (Suzanne), Lisa, Stephen Jr. (Lira and her children Zane and Zoey), Daniel, and Sean (his beloved granddaughter Rain and his grandchildren Shelby and Dylan). Steve served in the Army and proudly fought in the Vietnam war, where he was awarded multiple medals including the Purple Heart. He was known to many in San Diego as a successful car salesman, eventually owning his own business. His love of the ocean took he and his boat "The Listo" to Cabo San Lucas, where he enjoyed the fishing, the beach, and the parties. He moved to Jamul in 1998 where he and Colleen enjoyed evening sunsets, meeting new friends, and becoming part of the Jamul community. He enjoyed his buddies in the Tuna Club, on the golf course, and inside his "second home" the Greek Sombrero. He was a generous loving husband, father, and friend to many. Whether you knew him as Steve, Dad, Poppa Goods, Goody, Listo, or my Grandpy you knew you had a good friend in Steve Goodman. There will be a celebration of his life at the Cotton Wood Golf Course this Saturday, Feb. 16th, followed by a reception at the Greek Sombrero in Jamul.
