Clifford Gale Adams Obituary
Adams, Clifford Gale TOPEKA, KS -- Clifford G. Adams passed peacefully on March 8, 2013. Born in St. Joseph, MO, April 3, 1926, son of Eugene James and Helen Pinzon Adams. Daughters, Tracy and Nancy Adams; grandchildren, Adriane, Megan, Kimberly, Connor; great-grandson, Liam; and his sister, Cynthia Lyons, survive him. Viginia M. Carlson, his wife, predeceased Clifford, in 1985. Cliff moved to San Diego with his mother as a teenager. He attended San Diego High then entered the Navy in 1944 where he served as a radioman. After the Navy, Cliff worked for Pacific Bell, and evenings as a movie projectionist in San Diego. He moved to Topeka after his retirement. Cliff loved dogs. A family story is, that as a kid, he shared an ice cream cone with his dog, lick for lick. Most of his life he owned dogs, always selecting one he thought no one else would adopt. He enjoyed classic movies, symphony music, and model trains. He kept busy repairing old cabinet radios, then donated them to charity. Topeka provided a peaceful life, close to family. He will be forever loved. Donations may be made to any animal shelter.
