Obituary Condolences

GALLON, DONALD "DON" Donald "Don" Gallon was born in Fresno, California on December 21, 1926. He passed away at his home on October 26, 2012. Don was preceded in death by his son Michael Gallon. He is survived by his daughters Gay Tincher, Carolyn Hall,and Jodi Dickson. He leaves eight grandchildren and five great-grand-children. Don lived most of his life in San Diego County. During World War II, he proudly served his country in the Merchant Marines. He retired from Hazard Construction nearly 30 years ago. He remained active in retirement. Don was creative and enjoyed new challenges and hard work. He maintained a large property in rural San Diego County. He was known in the community for his willingness to assist his neighbors. He also helped at a local produce store becoming like one of the family. In recent years, he was an active bowler, joining several leagues. He looked forward to his bowling days with friends at Parkway Bowl. Don lived everyday completely, taking pleasure in the simple things in life. He had a strong love and commitment to family and friends. We all will miss him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Parkway Bowl in El Cajon on January 20th, at 11:00 a.m. A lunch reception and bowling will follow.
