Obituary Condolences

BAILEY, ELOISE VIVIAN Dec. 12, 1925 to August 15, 2012 Eloise, a San Diego native, was born to Vivian and Paul B. Richardson. The eldest of nine, Eloise forged the way for her younger siblings, helping raise some of the younger brood. She graduated from Cathedral High in the early forties and on April 29, 1945 married Warren Eugene Bailey, beginning her life as devoted wife, friend and a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother for the next 67 years. Eloise and Warren traveled extensively, including trips to Russia, Japan, Europe, throughout the United States, and also to New Zealand, where she and Warren made lifelong friends with a couple of "Kiwis" who shared mutual vacations with the Baileys for the next three decades. Eloise was a marvelous cook and reveled in huge family gatherings every weekend where she could feed the masses, sharing her love for her family and friends. The grandchildren always knew there was a big tupperware container of double chocolate chip cookies waiting for them whenever they came. She will be missed. Eloise is survived by her children: daughter Katherine and son-in-law James; son Joseph and daughter-in-law Christine; son William and daughter-in-law Michelle; and son Paul and daughter-in-law Robin; and daughter-in-law Dawn. Eloise was preceded in death by her son James. Eloise has thirteen grandchildren: Kevin, John, Jed, Jessica, Nanette, David, Bruce, Westin, Lauren, Kimberly, Jen, April, Melony; and three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Chloe, and Wyatt. Services to be held at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity in El Cajon, CA, at 10:00 a.m.; Tuesday, August 21st. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to Hospice of San Diego.
