Floyd Donaldson Obituary
Donaldson, Floyd SAN DIEGO -- Floyd Donaldson was born in San Diego, 1933. He died on October 19, 2013 from natural causes. After graduating from San Diego High School he joined the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War for four years. After his discharge he attended San Diego State University and UCLA. Later he joined Mutual of New York and worked for them for three years, traveling throughout Europe. Upon returning to the U.S. he began his career in the aero-space industry. During those years he became a contract manager and purchasing agent working for General Dynamics, Hughes Corporation and Rockwell Corporation where he was involved with the International Space Shuttle Orbiter program. Later he worked in Saudi Arabia for Northrup Corporation negotiating contracts with the Saudi Royal Air Force. Among his passions were politics, fishing, gardening and tending his roses. He is survived by his loving wife Maureen, two stepchildren, Peter and Sally Harris and grandchildren Kelsey Shults and Lucy Harris. His proudest accomplishment was being their Grandfather. A private memorial service for family with Honors will be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Featheringill Mortuary.
