ECHOLS, FRANK GLENN II May 1, 1930 to November 4, 2012 Francis "Frank" Glenn Echols II A resident of Solana Beach, Frank passed away November 4th in Palm Springs, CA, following a heart attack the day before in Lake Arrowhead. Missing him are his cherished grandchildren Christine, Tommy, Kimberly, Nathan, and Teresa, his son Tom and daughter-in-law Janice, and son Frank. He leaves his best friend and loving wife Ellen whom he married nearly 56 years ago in Carmel, CA. He is also survived by his sister Jeanne Sherman of Oregon and two sons. Frank was born May 1, 1930 in San Diego and grew up in Laguna Beach. He attended Santa Ana College and the University of Arizona and was a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and entered the banking industry in 1953 starting at Crocker Anglo Bank in San Francisco and retiring from San Diego Trust and Savings in 1992. He was a life member of Southwestern Yacht Club and enjoyed years of boating and vacationing at the family cabin at Lake Arrowhead. To honor his wishes, his ashes will be scattered at sea in a private family gathering. If desired, memorial donations may be given to a favorite . "We will miss you forever, but forget you never."
