Harold "Pete" Osborn Obituary
Osborn, Harold "Pete" 07/27/1944 ~ 05/07/2013 SAN DIEGO -- On a "Bicycle Tuesday" that was too rainy to ride, and after a valiant battle against cancer, Pete passed into the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of San Diego County, he was primarily a cement mason but he knew something about almost everything construction related. He was well known and respected for his integrity and quality work. He retired from the San Diego Zoo Construction & Maintenance Department. Pete was a veteran of the Army. He proudly served his country in Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. Pete enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his bike, and doing projects at his home, affectionately called "The Ranch". He was always available to help family or friends with projects and many of us have some of his work around our homes. He loved animals, and his home was never complete without his dogs. Pete is survived by his mother Ada, wife Lynda, daughters Karrie (Lori) and Melinda (John) Geasler, grandsons Nathaniel and Samuel, his sister Bonnie (Neil) Wolfe, brothers Wes (Grace) and Gary (Sue) and many extended family members and friends. Graveside Services will be held at Singing Hills Memorial Park on Monday, May 13, at 10:30 a.m. Please wear your "good Levi's".
