Jack William Wickham

WICKHAM, JACK WILLIAM Sept. 28, 1923 to August 10, 2007 Jack Wickham, 83, long time San Diego resident, died peacefully on August 10th. He was born in Santa Ana, CA. A WWII vet, Radioman 1st class USN stationed in the South Pacific. A founding member of St. Theresa Church. He was a furniture store manager for over 40 years. Jack found love late in life marrying Eleanor Jean Hutchison in September 2006. They enjoyed travel, the arts, and sports together. He was always the life of the party. A long time actor, from USO shows to the senior group, the Show Offs. He was also a charter member of several Toastmaster groups. Loving to perform wherever there was an audience. He was always the most loving and dedicated husband and father. In early 2006, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Josephine Mae and by his eldest daughter Geraldine Ryerson. Survivors include Dennis and Deby of El Cajon, Edward and Kathy Yatchak of Anchorage, AK, John and Wendy of Ocean Springs, MS, son-in-law Lenny Ryerson of Centralia, WA, Sandra and Robert Wolfe of Ramona, Phyllis and Erik Stevens of Lakeside, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and sister Joan Starke of Reedport, OR. Mass on September 10th at 10:00 a.m., at St. Theresa, 6016 Camino Rico, San Diego. Inurnment Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
