JoAnn Brown Spencer Obituary
Spencer, JoAnn Brown RANCHO Bernardo -- JoAnn Brown Spencer, 74, passed on April 18, 2013, at home with family by her side. She was born in San Diego on August 16, 1938. JoAnn's father, Charles H. Brown, founded The Town & Country Hotel in 1953. She was a past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters in 1955, going on to graduate from Point Loma High in 1956 where she made many wonderful friends that would follow her through life. In 1957, JoAnn married John Cox and was a stay-at-home Mom. In 1997, she returned to work for Coldwell Banker where she made many more close friendships. As a Grandmother, her only grandchild, Tara Marie, was the light of her life. JoAnn's happiest times were spending quality time with family and friends in Maui. She is survived by her daughter Denise Hill, son Charles Cox (wife Ranee'), brother C Terry Brown (wife Charlene) and family, Michele and Bill Lopez and family, all of whom held a very dear place in her heart along with many close dear friends. "Aloha and Mahalo". She will be greatly missed.
