I am so sorry to hear we lost the light of Kelley. She was an inspiration to me and so many others. She had the power and dignity to stand up for social issues and created a nonprofit with Helen that is an amazing testament to how big her heart and talents were. She shared the gift of reading to those in need. I will miss her leadership and grace. Kelley, you will be so missed! To the VanAuken family, thank you for sharing this incredible light with those she touched.

Everything I know about Kelley has to do with her selflessness, her interest in and contribution to the betterment of the communities she lived in. I'll miss her sass... making us stick to the agenda (in order, thankyouverymuch!)... I am truly grateful to have known and worked with her. I hope Dennis and Helen are able to draw strength from all of the love we have for their daughter; my heart goes out to all of Kelley's family.

So very sorry about Kelleys passing. Her zest and enthusiasm for life was contagious, and it resonated in all that she did. Just being in the same room with her you could feel her confidence and spirit. She's flying free now, but made a lasting impact here that will always be remembered by all that were privileged to meet her.
