Van Auken, Kelley Anne SAN DIEGO -- Kelley Anne Van Auken passed on to heaven on March 23, 2014 at the age of 37, in her beloved city of San Diego. Kelley was born in Tucson, Arizona on November 27, 1976, went to University High School and graduated magna cum laude from University of Arizona. Kelley was director of volunteers at the White House in the Clinton Administration and worked for Congress- woman, Susan Davis here in San Diego. She was also co- founder and executive director of My Very Own Book, a non-profit that gives free books to children in low income neighborhoods. Kelley is survived by her adoring parents, Dennis and Helen Van Auken; her brothers, Michael Van Auken and Matthew Van Auken; sister-in-law, Aleigh Van Auken; and niece/ nephew, Halei and Hudson Van Auken. She is also survived by eight aunts and uncles and 29 cousins. A celebration of Kelley's life will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 5th, at Sunset Cliffs, Luscombs Point.
