RAMOND F. HEIM Obituary
HEIM, RAMOND F. December 20, 1925 to November 4, 2012 Born in Baldwin, Kansas, Ramond Heim came to California and joined the Army Air Corps in 1943. Upon being discharged, he attended Redlands University and graduated in 1950 with a degree in music education, later obtaining an MA from San Diego State. Ray taught music at La Habra and La Jolla High Schools, Roosevelt Junior High and directed the choir at various churches including First Presbyterian Church in San Diego. From 1965-8 Ray taught at the Alliance Academy in Quito, Ecuador, and later at Euclid and Field Elementary, and Marston Middle Schools. He also traveled extensively. In 1968, Ray married Patricia Akin; they have one daughter, Kristy. He is survived by his wife and daughter, son-in-law Chris, two grandchildren Peter and Audrey, brother Ken and sister Florence. Ray went to be with the Lord after suffering a stroke on November 4th. Viewing will be held at Featheringill Mortuary on Friday, November 9th, from 11 am - 1 pm. Memorial service will be held at College Ave Baptist Church on Sunday, November 11th, at 2 pm.
