ROBB WALLANDER Obituary
WALLANDER, ROBB Heaven received an early Christmas gift when Robb Wallander passed away on December 23, at UCSD Medical Center due to complication from surgery, Robb was born December 27, 1940, to Bob and Harriet Wallander in Los Angeles. The family lived in Encino until Robb graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1959. The summer after his graduation, the family moved to La Mesa. Robb attended SDCC and Grossmont CC before entering the retail field with TG& Y, Catalina Pools and Montgomery Ward. He retired in the late 1980's from back injuries that plagued him the rest of his life. Robb was predeceased by his parents and nephew Jeremy Abbott. He is survived by his dearest friends, Jim Middleton and Toni Wisehart, his sister Wendy Faulkner, his brother Tom Wallander, nieces Celeste Abbott and Jill Wallander, numerous other nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends. Once you met Robb you had a friend, someone who would do anything to assist you. He was warm, gregarious person who loved music. Whenever he was home, Ella could be heard or the sounds of jazz playing quite loud! Rest in peace Robbie. You will be missed by frinnds and family who enjoyed your friendship, love, kindness, generosity, compassion and sense of humor.
