SACHIKO NISHIDA Obituary
NISHIDA, SACHIKO Sachiko Nishida, 86, formerly of San Diego, passed away December 6, 2012, in Pleasanton, CA. She was born to Goki and Mitsuyo Urata in Los Angeles where she lived until 1942 when her family was sent to a Japanese Internment camp in Poston, AZ. In 1950, she married Terry Nishida and lived in San Diego for the next 62 years. She was a homemaker, teacher's aide, and, for 20 years, a sales associate at the Fedco Department store in San Diego. She loved to cook and do crafts in addition to being an expert seamstress. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Terry Nishida. Survivors include her four daughters, Peggy Takehara, Beverly Morisako, Marsha Marty, and Suzanne Nishida, and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, James and Edward Urata. Services: 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 19th, Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ, 2550 Fairfield St., San Diego.
