Julia Loya Obituary
Loya, Julia Loving and Devoted Sister, Mother, and Grandmother - Blessed with six living generations. ESCONDIDO -- Julia Loya, 102, joined her lord and Savior on Saturday, May 31, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on February 29, 1912. At the age of 15, she moved to Texas where she started working in the cotton fields. She moved to Escondido in 1930 where she worked in various packing houses and packed lemons, avocados, and even eggs at the old Olson Brothers Packing House. Her working career ended at Sony Corporation of America, San Diego plant, where she was the first person to retire at the age of 65. She was heavily involved in her church and had a deep faith that she shared not only with her family members but everyone around her. Julia continued to be passionate about her faith and continued to witness even in her last days. Julia came from a family of six and is still survived by her youngest sister, Tempora Hermosillo. Although preceded in death by her first born son, David Rudy San Miguel, she is survived by her daughter, Ruth Aguilar and son, Sam San Miguel. The five remaining generations are Grandchildren: Elizabeth Reyes, Steven Aguilar Jr, Roseann San Miguel, Robert Aguilar, Roxanne Carmona, David Aguilar, Karen Einbinder, and Julia Hope. Great-Grandchildren: Michelle Morones, Rafael Reyes Jr, Robert Reyes, Robert Aguilar Jr, Daniel Reyes, David Aguilar Jr, Miguelangel Reyes, Ashley Einbinder, Angelica Aguilar, Leresa Aguilar, Christopher Hope, Katrina Hope, and Ethan Hope. Great- Great-Grandchildren: Crystal Reyes, Roderick Morones Jr, Cheyenne Morones, Robert Reyes Jr, Nacrissa Morones, Alexis Reyes, Alejandra Reyes, Zechariah Reyes, Samuel Reyes, Julian Morones, Noah Reyes, Alyssa Reyes, Valerie Reyes, and Miguelangel Reyes Jr. Great-Great- Great-Grandchildren: Savannah Gonzales, Nathaniel Gonzales, Michaelangelo Morones, and Michael Gonzales. A viewing will be held between 4 and 8 p.m., on Wednesday, June 4th, at Alhiser- Comer Mortuary, 225 So. Broadway, Escondido. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, June 5th in the Chapel at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, Escondido. Arrangements are by Alhiser Comer Mortuary.
