Concetta "Connie" (Caruso) Farace

Concetta (Connie) Caruso Farace, 90, died peacefully Oct. 18, 2012 at Patriots Colony. She was born in Dunbar, Pa. , June 25, 1922, to the late Dominic and Rosina Caruso.
Connie graduated from St Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. She married Dr. Patrick J. Farace, DDS, from Morgantown, West Virginia, in 1947.
Pat served over 20 years in the US Army and Connie was skilled at setting up households around the world. Dedicated to community service, Connie volunteered at local hospitals, was a Girl Scout leader, helped with Red Cross blood drives, taught expectant mother classes and severed with several community organizations. While the family resided in Williamsburg during 1963-71 they were parishioners at St. Bede Catholic Church. When Pat retired they moved back to Morgantown. Connie remained in West Virginia many years after Pat's death (1976). In 2003 she returned to Williamsburg to be near family.
Connie is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who always thought about others and spent life making her community a better place, wherever she lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Patrick J. Farace and her brother, Amadeo Caruso.
Connie is survived by her children: Patrick J Farace, Jr. (Wendy) of Hinesville, GA; Mary Ribock (Edward) of Williamsburg; Rose Farace of Williamsburg; Pamela Huhane (Bernie) of North Hollywood, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Ribock Green, Jonathan Ribock, Jason Ribock, Capt. Amy Farace, MD, Patrick S. Farace, Patrick J. Huhane, Ana Huhane Pomee; six great-grandchildren and brothers, Phillip Caruso of Glenshaw, PA and Albert Caruso of Dunbar, Pa.
Her life was celebrated at a service at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morgantown. Connie rests in peace beside her husband at St. Mary's Mausoleum.
