Dorothy Imogene Utterback

RICHMOND - Dorothy Imogene Utterback, age 73, received into the Lords hands on February 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia on September 6, 1940, Dorothy was the daughter of the late James and Lena Camden and preceded in death by her sister, Edna Parker. Moving to Williamsburg at a young age, she married a Navy man whose career took them around the world. Dorothy is best remembered for her faith, which never wavered and served as her shield in life and death. She was a member at of Jamestown Presbyterian Church and Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was generous in spirit , had a beautiful smile and knowledge of the word. She is survived by her son, James Utterback; daughter, Robin Garrington and her husband, Edward Garrington; daughter, Jennifer Dawn Helterbran; sister, Donna and her husband, Danny Hartless; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and much extended family. A visitation will take place on Thursday, February 20, from 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home. A service will be held on Friday, February 21, at 1pm, at Jamestown Presbyterian Church, 3287 Ironbound Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
