Dorothy Perry Johnson, 92, died peacefully May 6, 2013 at her daughter's home in King William, with her family by her side.
She was born June 17, 1920 to the late Lizzie and Norris Perry. Dorothy was an active member of Jerusalem Christian Church for 32 years and the Missionary Society. She was also an active volunteer at the West Point Nursing Home and was a member of the Lively Ladies.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Richard Stratton, Lacie Hamblett, and Oliver Johnson; two grandchildren, Malinda Stratton and David Huss; a sister, Bessie Creamer; and a brother, William Perry.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Richard N. Stratton (Shirley), Jean S. Huss (Marvin), Jerry D. Stratton (Betty), and Virginia "Jenny" S. Prince (Michael); step-children Betty Hamblett, Pemmy Petterman (John), David Johnson (Mary Ann), and Edmond Johnson (Betty). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Valerie Stratton, Kelly Jaworksi, Karen Kramer (Fred), Douglas Stratton, Steven Stratton (Katie), Tammy Edwards (Bobby), and Holly Sparks (Mike); eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8 at Jerusalem Christian Church, 1902 Powhatan Trail, King William, 23086 with a private burial in Peninsula Memorial Park.
