James J. Fisher, 89, of Williamsburg died on Feb. 13, 2013. A loving father and husband, he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. James proudly served in the Marines during World War II
. He retired after 35 years of service as a supervisor with Gulf Oil Company. An avid skier and ski instructor, James also enjoyed golf. He was a member of St. Bede Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary; two sons, Robert Fisher and his wife, Wakaba Tasaka, and Barry Fisher and his wife, Elke Fisher; a daughter, Patricia Bercowetz; and five grandchildren, Keely, Kiel, Catrina, Cooper, and Jesse.
A Mass will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 9 a.m. at St. Bede Roman Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg. Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nelsencares.com
