Lillian Ronelda Forrest Johnson, 97, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in Williamsburg. A native of Poquoson, she was the eldest of four children born to the late Reginald and Grace Forrest. She was educated in Poquoson schools and Mary Washington College. She worked 23 years for the Federal Government in the financial area.
Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wallace Johnson; brother, Reginald Franklin Forrest, and stepson George, Jonson She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne M. Mann and her husband Charlton of Williamsburg; sister, Grace Kruszewski of Newport News; brother, Kenneth Forrest and his wife Barbara of Colorado; grandchildren, Leslie Condra and her husband Michael, Charlotte Mickolick and her husband Michael; great grandchildren, Christopher Condra and his wife Melanie, Clinton Condra, Danielle Tyre, Nicole and Kristie Mickolick, Vanessa Rau and her husband Paul; and great-great-grandchildren, Phillip, Seth, Taylor, Mason and Gage.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff of Spring Arbor, Hospice community and Dr. Bruce Mayer for their care and compassion. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am Friday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service conducted 11:30 am Friday at Clark Cemetery in Fox Hill.
