Marilyn Hamilton-Wold

Marilyn Hamilton-Wold, 66, of Toano, passed away December 12, 2013. Marilyn loved traveling and spending time with family. She was well-respected and loved by all who knew her. Throughout her career in human resources, she taught, encouraged, and helped others. She will be forever cherished for her selfless, generous, and kind-hearted spirit. Marilyn will be greatly missed by all, but we find comfort in knowing that she now rests peacefully with Jesus Christ. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Winton and Frances Ann Hamilton and her brother, Forrest Hamilton III. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Monte Wold; her son, Clif Martin; daughter-in-law, Joy Martin; her granddaughter, Rebecca Martin; and her grandson, Ethan Martin. She is also survived by 5 siblings: Lynn Geddy, Christine Hamilton-Petteys, Dean Hamilton, Sherry McKown, and Eric Hamilton, as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sentara Hospice-Camp Lighthouse, Greater Peninsula, 200 Enterprise Drive, Newport News, Virginia 23603.
