Philomena "Phyllis" Maher passed away peacefully on May 4, 2013, in Williamsburg at the age of 100.
Mrs. Maher was predeceased by her husband John, after 62 years of marriage, and her grandson James Patrick Maher. She is survived by her four children: John Maher (Cassie) of New York, Patricia Wilson (John) of Virginia, Phyllis Meyers (Robert) of Florida, and Thomas Maher of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was born and raised in Plainfield, N.J., and moved to West Palm Beach, Fla. with her husband in 1976. She moved to Williamsburg when her husband passed away in 1994. She was a resident of the Chambrel at Williamsburg retirement community for 19 years and was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church.
Arrangements will be made by Memorial Funeral Home in Fanwood, N.J. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chambrel of Williamsburg.
