Terry Eugene Oliver

Terry Eugene Oliver, 60, of Hampton passed away on March 20, 2013. He was born in Portsmouth and lived most of his life in Williamsburg. He graduated from James Blair High School, attended Virginia Tech and was a member of James River Baptist Church. Terry was employed as a senior transportation inspector with CDM Smith Inc. for 16 years. He was serving in the role of QC manager on the I-81 truck-climbing lane in Fairfield. He loved his cat, Pepper, and enjoyed collecting antiques, hunting, and listening to country music.
He was preceded in death by his father, James P. Oliver, and brother, Richard Oliver.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Oliver; a sister, Betty Smith (Lanny); niece, Karen Foraker (Carl); great-nieces, Kathryn and Olivia Rhoden; and great-nephews, Samuel and Preston Foraker.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 25, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Funeral service officiated by the Rev. Stephen T. Wiley will follow at 2 p.m. on Monday with interment at Beech Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Coke.
