Donn McClave Ruddock, 77 of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on 09/03/2013 as a result of his yearlong battle with cancer.

His life was celebrated in a memorial service at Westminster Canterbury on 09/07/2013, where he resided the last 7 years of his life.
Donn was born in Indiana, PA on 10/03/1935. He graduated from Grove City College continued on to receive a law degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Donn served three years in the US Navy as a commissioned officer between college and law school. He then served 22 years in the US Air Force, where retired as a Colonel, and served as a Judge Advocate, finishing his career as the Judge Advocate for the Tactical Air Command at Langley AFB in Virginia. He earned the Bronze Star for his service in the Vietnam War. Other decorations include Legion of Merit and Meritorious Service Medals. He was an avid reader, runner, and a diehard fan of Pittsburgh sports teams.
Donn is survived by his children, Bruce McClave Ruddock and Laura Ann Sowinski, and his three grandchildren Thaddeus McClave Sowinski, Haley Graff Sowinski and Evan McClave Ruddock, and other family and friends.
Donn is preceded in death by his father William McClave Ruddock, his mother Dorothy Parker Ruddock and his brother William Parker Ruddock and sister Dorothy Ruddock.
