Frederick E. Meekins died suddenly on Thursday, May 12, 2011. |
His life began on Jan. 17, 1986, the son of Karen Meekins and Freddie Walker. He attended Lafayette High School. At the time of his death, he was employed by Ford's Colony Golf Course. He was an avid sports fan.
He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Armani A. Meekins; his mother, Karen Meekins; his father, Freddie Walker; his sisters, Nikita Meekins and Chasity Meekins; his brothers, Andre Meekins, Carlos Meekins, Javon Jones Jordan Walker and Kaleb Walker; his grandmothers, Queen Meekins and Mary Walker; his grandfather, Alphonzo Melvin; his devoted companion, Crystal Diggs; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A homegoing service will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at Chickahominy Baptist Church, 2900 Chickahominy Rd., Toano, with the Rev. Corwin R. Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 2820 Chickahominy Rd. by12:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mr. Meekins may be viewed in the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
