Jules "Bud" Brandenburg, 90, died peacefully in his sleep on October 12, 2013. Bud was born on October 1, 1923. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Lee Brandenburg and his parents, Helen Branka and Jules F. Brandenburg.|
Bud was raised in Philadelphia surrounded by his aunts, uncles and many cousins. He loved his family. Bud was a wonderful father to his two daughters and their husbands, Paula Brandenburg and John McCormack and Lee Ann and Stan Kent. His grandchildren Stephen, Kristin (husband Dan), John (wife Megan), Kathleen, and Scott brought him much joy. He cherished the time he spent with his great-grandchildren, Jason, Ava, Grayson, and Ryeland.
He was especially close to his sister Barbara and her husband, Gerry Smith. Morning coffee at Aromas with his friend, Rick Johnson and Rick's dog, Riptide was something to which he always looked forward.
Upon graduation from Northeast Catholic High School he enlisted in the Army Air Force. As a member of the B-17 crew, he was a lower ball turret gunner. A Baker by trade, he was also a gifted cake decorator.
Bud loved Jesus, and was an active member of St Bede Catholic Church.
