Luberia C. Lee, 85, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Envoy of Williamsburg, after a lengthy illness.

She was a lifelong and devoted member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She served her church as a Deaconess and a member of the Deaconess Board and the Missionary Circle. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Lee, Sr.; her son Warren E. Lee, Jr.; her sister, Carleatha E. Jackson and her brother; Harry L. Jackson. She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Dianne Lee; her son, Larry D. Lee (Patricia); her grandchildren, Keith, Brandon, India and Jonathan; her great-granddaughter, Ya'Ria Sanders; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, with Bishop William M. Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lee may be viewed in the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The family will receive friends in the church on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. until the hour of her service.
