Manuel Jack Queijo, 91, of Williamsburg, passed away on November 15, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Queijo.

He received his doctorate from Virginia Tech and was instrumental in assisting NASA with its space program, especially the first Lunar Lander and engineering in the wind tunnel. After his retirement, he worked with the shuttle program at NASA and later managed the Langley Visitors Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing guitar with his band, The Merry Macks.
Manuel was a wonderful husband and great father. He was always dependable, and will be missed by many. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Isabell W. Queijo; son, Donald Queijo and his wife, Kelly; daughter, Terry Queijo; and grandchildren, Zane and Zackary.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 17 at 3:00 PM at Williamsburg Christian Church.
